Rare Fruit Gardens Annual Plant Sale: May 15-16, Broward County

Rose flavored lychee-shrimp stirfry

For my South Florida friends, next Saturday is your chance to buy some exotic plants. The Rare Fruit & Vegetable Council of Broward County (RFVC) will host its 35th Annual Plant Sale on May 15 and 16 at its Southwest Ranches location.

Have you ever tasted lychees or genip or neem? I haven’t, but I will. Recipes abound on the internet. Dr. Mercola reminds us we can Save on Groceries … By Growing Your Own.

The RFVC reports it “was founded in 1975 as a nonprofit organization devoted to encourage the extension of human knowledge of tropical fruit and vegetable plants in all their aspects, including scientific research, exploration and study of chemistry and physics of the earth and the environment.”

The sale will be held at RFVC’s research garden: 5105 SW 208th Lane, Southwest Ranches, FL 33332 [interactive map, or see below], on Saturday from 9:30 am till 4 pm and on Sunday from 11 am till 3 pm.

  1. I am really loving the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility issues?
A few of my blog audience have complained about my website not working correctly in Explorer but
looks great in Chrome. Do you have any ideas to help fix this problem?

What do YOU think?
