Is government making the family farm too safe for families?

This Saturday at 9am Pacific, the Food Chain Radio show with Michael Olson hosts Oklahoma Labor Commissioner Mark Costello and Oklahoma Farmer Matt Muller for a conversation about government rules and family farms.

Topics include the rules government is establishing to make life safe for teens; how the rules are likely to affect the family farm and ranch; and how the rules are likely to affect the teens who are not allowed to work.

  1. Welcome to the “Nanny State” The healthy and Safety gurus in the UK
are taking away people’s ability to be responsible for their own actions. This is another crazy example but in another country. I wonder how the world manage to evolve thus far without their constant interference into our daily lives!

  2. That’s NOT SAFETY. That is a prohibition against educating one’s own children in self-sufficient and self-sustenance. It’s criminal.

  3. how about these sick bureaucrats stick their noses into the agribusiness corporations that make people sick on a regular basis and LEAVE OUR LITTLE FAMILY FARMS ALONE.

  4. Our government that was designed to be a tool to allow Americans to be free and peruse happiness has gotten it into its very little pea brain that it knows better than its citizens what freedom is and what makes us happy.

We really need to reestablish the fact that the people are the boss and the government is our employee.

  5. This is ridiculous. Educating one’s own children in self-sufficient and self-sustenance. It’s criminal.
